Our client based in the Bury area has a unique opportunity for a talented Chef who will be second in command supporting the Head Chef to ensure the smooth running of the kitchen, driving the team to deliver top quality, fresh food. Management skills are essential for this role. We are looking for a skilled Second Chef who can work with fresh ingredients, produce quality food to a consistently high standard in a volume environment and who can lead the kitchen team, while work positively with the front of house team, to deliver a great shift. The Second Chef will assist the Head Chef in ensuring both high standards of both Food Safety and Health and Safety. They will also aid with managing the kitchen team rotas, stock management, ordering and other duties consistent with a high performing kitchen team. Weekends are particularly important at the business and so availability to work key shifts at this time is important.
