Our client regularly receives international shipping containers requiring manual unloading within a strict 4 hour timeframe.

Their existing workforce, while experienced and reliable, found the physical demands increasingly challenging. This created a risk to efficiency, health and safety, and overall productivity.

Hiring permanent or part time staff was not a viable option:

  • Containers arrive only once per month
  • Delivery dates are unpredictable
  • The workload does not justify a fixed hire

The client needed a flexible, dependable solution without increasing long term overheads.

  • Provision of 3 trained operatives per shipment
  • 4 days notice booking system aligned to container arrivals
  • Focus on supplying the same candidates where possible to reduce repeated training and increase efficiency
  • On site presence and supervision during initial and key shipments to ensure standards and performance

  • No need for permanent or fixed staffing costs
