From Apprentice to Consultant
Starting as an apprentice gave me a solid foundation in the recruitment industry. I quickly realised that no two bookings are ever the same, which keeps my job exciting and unpredictable. Over the years, I have developed a passion for building relationships with both candidates and clients. There’s something incredibly rewarding about matching the right people to the right roles. I can then sit back and watch both sides benefit from the connection.
The Thrill of Temporary Recruitment
Working primarily on the temp desk means I deal with a variety of roles, industries, and personalities daily. One of the best aspects of my job is the sheer unpredictability. One moment I’m securing a last-minute booking, and the next, I’m planning for long-term placements. The fast-paced nature of temporary recruitment keeps me on my toes, ensuring that I am always engaged and problem-solving.
While my main focus is temp recruitment, I also assist with permanent placements when needed. This variety allows me to expand my skill set and gain a deeper understanding of the recruitment industry.
Building Meaningful Connections
One of the highlights of my job is visiting clients and putting a face to the names. These visits not only strengthen professional relationships but also give me insight into the working environments. It’s always great to see the impact of our work firsthand and to build long-lasting partnerships with businesses.

Recruitment, especially in the hospitality sector, is never dull. You never quite know what’s around the corner, and there are always funny and unexpected moments. Whether it’s a last-minute placement challenge or an amusing story from a candidate, there is never a shortage of laughter.
Life Outside the Office
When I’m not busy matching candidates with roles, I love spending time with my dog. After a hectic day in recruitment, there’s nothing better than unwinding with my furry companion and enjoying some downtime.
