We are working with a fantastic client in the Lake District supporting them with their search for a Head Chef for their 4* Hotel.
We are looking to speak with candidates who have a minimum of 2 years experience working in 4* star luxury hotels operating high quality / award winning restaurants.
Ideal Head Chef Profile:
- Experienced Head Chef, with a solid background working in high quality 4* hotels.
- A background in fine dining / rosette standard kitchens.
- Excellent financial understanding and the ability to work within forecasted budgets.
- Exceptional leadership skills, able to work with, motivate and develop the team around you.
- Passion, enthusiasm and creativity in the kitchen.
Head Chef Responsibilities:
- Direct all kitchen operations – food prep, cooking, food safety, ordering, suppliers, rotas, stocks, budgeting etc.
- Policy adherence – ensure all policies, procedures and standards are consistently adhered to.
- Menu development – desire and creativity to create & develop menus to drive the business forwards.
- Stock control & auditing – ensuring the kitchen is working within agreed and defined margins.
- Health, Safety & Hygiene compliance -Ensuring that all H&S, Food Safety, HACCP management and hygiene standards are continuously met.
- Team Management – shift management, staffing levels, recruitment, training & development, appraisals
- Food quality control – ensure all standards for food preparation, presentation & freshness is consistent across all dishes.
- Collaboration with FOH – communicate effectively with FOH Managers & staff during service and resolve any service-related issues quickly.
