Perfect Recruitment are delighted to be working with a busy and well-established countryside hotel in Durham who are looking for an experienced and passionate Sous Chef to join their growing kitchen team.
With a busy operation covering restaurant service, events, functions and hotel guests, this role offers plenty of variety and the opportunity to make a real impact. The successful candidate will be a hands-on leader who enjoys working in a fast-paced kitchen, supporting a team and delivering consistently high standards.

The Role:
Working closely with the Executive Chef, you’ll play an important role in the daily running of the kitchen. You’ll help lead and motivate the brigade, support junior chefs, oversee service and ensure quality, consistency and organisation across all areas of the operation.
This is a fantastic opportunity for a Sous Chef who wants to take ownership, develop their leadership skills and be part of building something long-term within a forward-thinking kitchen team.

• Strong background working with fresh food and quality ingredients
• Previous experience in a Sous Chef role within a hotel, restaurant or banqueting environment
• Confident leading a kitchen team during busy services

• Passion for food quality, consistency and maintaining high standards
• Good understanding of food safety, allergens and kitchen compliance
• A supportive team leader who enjoys developing others
