Job Title: Restaurant Manager
Location: North Lakes, Cumbria
Start Date: April 2025
Are you a passionate and hands-on Restaurant Manager looking for your next challenge? We’re seeking an exceptional leader to take the reins of our restaurant and elevate it to new heights. With a busy season ahead and over 135 weddings planned, 2025 promises to be an exciting year for our property, and we need the right person to make it unforgettable!
About the Role:
This is a hands-on leadership role—not one for those who prefer to manage from behind a desk. You’ll be working side by side with a seasoned team, guiding them to deliver outstanding service at 3 Rosette standards while managing all aspects of restaurant operations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Operational Excellence:
- Lead and inspire a high-performing team.
- Ensure smooth day-to-day operations, working closely with the GM and Deputy.
- Maintain high standards across pre-plated à la carte, set menus, special event menus, and daily breakfasts.
- Financial Management:
- Drive profitability with food GP of ~72% and wet sales GP of ~75%.
- Manage costs, forecast sales, and promote upselling strategies.
- Training & Development:
- Train the team to Rosette standards—professional yet relaxed and approachable service.
- Build a team culture centered around excellence and teamwork.
- Guest Experience:
- Transform the restaurant into a destination dining venue.
- Deliver exceptional service for weddings, events, and daily dining.
What We’re Looking For:
- A proven track record in high-end restaurant management (4–5-star properties).
- Experience turning a restaurant into a destination venue.
- A leader who "owns" their outlet and fosters a team-player culture.
- Flexibility to adapt and deliver under pressure, including quick turnarounds for weddings and events.
What We Offer:
- A fantastic work environment with a supportive team.
- On-site accommodation for you and a partner (or single occupancy).
- Hourly pay at a senior management grade.
- Pension contributions after a successful probation period.
- Tips paid quarterly.
- Food and laundry provided.
- A chance to be part of a senior management group shaping the success of the property.
Salary: Competitive, to be discussed during the interview.
If you’re a hands-on manager with a solid background in high-end dining, a flair for leadership, and a passion for delivering excellence, we’d love to hear from you.
