At our company, nestled in the heart of Chorley, we’ve always had a deep affection for our surroundings. So when Chorley Council nominated us for the prestigious Enterprise Vision Awards (EVA), we couldn’t help but swell with pride. It was a testament to our commitment to our community and our passion for what we do.
Our journey began with Lisa eagerly attending the online masterclass, armed with notebooks ready to absorb every piece of wisdom. She eagerly filled in the application process and hoorah was selected as a finalist. The interview stage, however, proved to be a nerve-wracking challenge for Lisa, who admittedly struggled to convey her brilliance amidst the jumble of nerves. But little did we know, the best was yet to come.
The grand night arrived at the Wintergardens in Blackpool, and the team donned their finest attire, filled with anticipation. As the first award was announced, the room buzzed with excitement, and to our astonishment, we were awarded highly commended in the Best Business category. The shock left Lisa momentarily speechless – a rare occurrence, indeed! Councilor Bradly equally speechless handed over the award with neither sure what to say next. A simple thank you sufficed.
From that moment on, our journey with Pink Link and the EVA’s soared to new heights. Emily had the pleasure of attending the winners’ awards party in Manchester, where Prosecco flowed freely. Lisa received a coveted invitation to the House of Commons for afternoon tea with Linsey Hoyle, a highlight she’ll cherish forever. This was a surreal moment and the group of ladies all had a fantastic day.
The press caught wind of our successes, and soon our story was being shared far and wide. But the highlights didn’t stop there. We were honored to attend International Women’s Day at Leighton Hall, followed by a breathtaking dinner at the Lakeside Hotel in Cumbria, an event that left Lisa pinching herself in disbelief.
And just when we thought our journey couldn’t get any better, we were invited to the Red Rose Awards, where we rubbed shoulders with the new team from the Holiday Inn Blackpool. It was a night filled with camaraderie and celebration. An absolute must for businesses in the Lancashire area.
But perhaps the cherry on top of our journey is Lisa’s upcoming menu tasting with Coral for this year’s EVAs 2024, courtesy of Campbell Rowley caterers. It’s a testament to the doors of the EVA family can open.
So, if you’re wondering whether it’s worth your time to nominate or fill in an application form – our resounding answer is HELL YES. This year has been a whirlwind of incredible experiences and opportunities, all thanks to our involvement with the EVAs. We loved it so much that we’re even sponsoring the hospitality awards this year. So, what are you waiting for? Get nominating and join us on this incredible journey of growth, recognition, and celebration! 🌟🏆 #EVAJourney #ProudSponsors
