I have worked forever in hospitality as a chef in industry then a chef lecturer and manager for 30 years at Runshaw College. I continued to stay in touch with industry by working for many employers over the years at weekends and in the holidays mostly front of house. Working now for Perfect Recruitment seemed a natural transition from my former role of teaching the skills to gain a job, to helping people actually get a job.
When not working for Perfect Recruitment I am never idle! I enjoy working in the hospitality industry still, and I get involved with all sorts of events. I enjoy walking with my cavapoo Ludo and in particular through woodland, I have a huge appreciation for nature and trees.I also enjoy quality time with friends and family and travel is important to me.
Years in the business
In total I have worked for 40 years in the Hospitality industry.I am exceptionally proud of the provision myself and team at Runshaw provided to students and have superb relationships still with many. We were the first College restaurant to win AA College restaurant of the year which was one of the biggest highlights of my career. Hospitality is in my blood and I can’t ever imagine doing anything that isn’t linked to it.
